Free Online Teleprompter

Paste your script, hit Start and read as the text scrolls past a fixed reading line. Change speed and font size on the fly, flip to mirror mode for a beam-splitter rig, go fullscreen and control everything from the keyboard. Your script stays in your browser.

Script & controls

0 words · ~0s at average pace

Space: start / pause · ↑ ↓: speed · Esc: exit fullscreen

Your script will appear here.

How it works

  1. Paste or type your script in the panel. It is saved to your browser's local storage so it survives a refresh.
  2. Speed is in pixels per second; 30–60 suits most readers. Adjust with the slider or the ↑ / ↓ keys while reading.
  3. Font size scales the whole script. Larger fonts mean fewer words per line, which is easier to track at distance.
  4. Mirror mode flips the text horizontally for teleprompter glass that reflects a screen placed below the camera.
  5. Space starts and pauses, Escape exits fullscreen. The red line marks where your eyes should rest so you keep looking at the camera.

Frequently asked questions

What scroll speed should I use?

Start around 40 px/s at 48px font, press Start and read aloud. If you are catching up to the red line, slow down; if you're waiting for it, speed up. Most people settle between 30 and 60.

Does this work with a real teleprompter rig?

Yes. Turn on Mirror mode, go fullscreen and place the screen under the beam-splitter glass. Any tablet, phone or laptop screen works.

Is my script uploaded?

No. It is stored only in your browser's local storage on this device. Clear it from the browser or delete the text to remove it.

Can I use it on a phone?

Yes — it is responsive. For a phone, use fullscreen and a larger font; the on-screen buttons replace the keyboard shortcuts.
